StockX is inherently connected to the arts community. The sneaker and streetwear spaces, in particular, have roots that trace back to some of the most famous street artists, graffiti writers, muralists and designers. The company is supportive of organizations aimed at introducing youth to arts and culture through initiatives including but not limited to: writing and design scholarships, music education programs, and artist shadowing.
70% of StockX customers are under the age of 35 making the youth constituency core to the StockX community. The company is supportive of initiatives designed to engage youth in recreational activities that align with StockX’s verticals including skateboarding clinics, basketball camps, and other activities designed to connect kids to sport and educational programming.
StockX is committed to investing in sustainable practices internally within its business operations and externally through its support of campaigns, initiatives, and philanthropic partners like Oceana, an organization committed to the protection and restoration of oceans.
StockX partners with organizations engaging youth in STEAM initiatives and related technical skill development to encourage a future in applied settings with a specific focus on minority and underserved student populations. Diversity in tech is sorely lacking and StockX aims to play a role in ensuring the industry is representative.
StockX fosters a diverse and inclusive community, not only for its team members, but for the millions of buyers, sellers, makers, and creators it serves. While much of this work is internal and anchored by a six-point D&I plan, the company understands that it is wrong that underrepresented communities must play by different rules. As such, we are committed to advancing the work of organizations fighting for equity and social justice. In 2020, StockX matched team member donations to organizations including the George Floyd Memorial Fund, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Know Your Rights Camp totaling more than $100K in support of their work.
